Most Overpaid/underpaid profession

Hi Friends,

Lets start the debate session with a simple debate topic. The most overpaid or underpaid profession in your opinion and the reasons for it.

The most overpaid profession for me, has to be sports people especially the Cricket players who make a lot of money for literally nothing. In my opinion Cricket is not such a difficult game in terms of effort and level of difficulty hence the players do not have to put in their hundred percent and they can still succeed. Not only that, even if their career is short lived they can still make a lot of money with endoresements. This is not only limited with Cricket but all team sports.

The other profession would be policians again especially in India. They just make a lot of money for doing nothing for the development of the country.

The most unnderpaid would be the teachers and people in the medical profession. Its sad that the people who can carve a persons future and the people who save lives are the ones who are grossly underpaid. Its a sad situation but thats what it is.

  1. I disagree with you on few points.

Politicians are not really paid much - I am excluding bribe. I have no interest in politics but it could be a difficult and taxing job. Personally I think they should be paid more so that they don't take bribe.

Doctors are paid a lot in the USA and not in other countries. Doctors are richest here in the USA.

Scientists on the other hand need to be paid more.

I am neither doc nor politicians not scientist.

(I am the first person to follow your blog and I like all three topics you posted) - very good start.

  2. Thank you so much for ur feedback and response and yes I do agree that doctors are paid well outside India. As for scientists, Ifeel they have no scope in india. Same is the case for reachers, they are the most underpaid. Having said that, in India, most of the teachers just mig up the lesson for the day and blurt it out in the class so thats an arguement against their case.
